About Malaya

Personal Information

I am Malaya Banks soon-to-be Malaya Patrick.  In addition to being a dedicated social worker with a passion for helping individuals navigate life's complexities & challenges. I am a dedicated and proud Dog Mom! I have three beagles that are the apple of my eye! Paisley is 10.5 years old, Payton is 10 years, and Parker is 9 years old. They keep life full and interesting, they are known as Triple Trouble despite them heading into their elder years. I love spending time with them. I find dogs to be very therapeutic, mine have helped me through some difficult times. I incorporate them into coping skills that I practice daily. I have experienced and worked through trauma, profound grief, anxiety, and depression amongst other things in life. This provides me with a greater understanding of what some of my clients may be experiencing.  As for hobbies and interests, I enjoy spending time with friends/family, crafting, reading, spending time with the dogs, swimming, etc. The dogs went swimming for the first time this summer and loved it! My fiance, family, friends, and dogs are my support system. My guilty pleasure is watching Netflix and snuggling up with the puppers.  I enjoy  traveling and exploring the world.  I've been out of the USA once and visited approximately 7 of our 50 states. I have a lot left to explore and experience. This is just a snapshot of my life. I cannot wait to hear about yours! I would be honored to support you on your path to healing and growth.
